Our Story
We never set out to start an organisation like this.
Our journey began on an Impact Safari with African Wildlife Vets, where we saw firsthand the reality of wildlife conservation – the urgency, complexity, and daily challenges.
What stayed with us most was the veterinarians. Working alongside them, we witnessed their dedication, resilience, and the critical role they play in protecting endangered wildlife under difficult conditions.
We couldn’t walk away from that experience. We wanted to be part of the solution.
African Wildlife Veterinarians was born from that moment – with a simple goal: to support those on the frontlines, ensuring they have what they need to keep protecting Africa’s wildlife.

Supporting Wildlife Veterinarians
African Wildlife Veterinarians raises awareness and funding for veterinary teams protecting wildlife across Africa. These teams are often the first, and sometimes only, responders in wildlife crises, providing both emergency care and preventative support.
Funding enables rapid response in the field by supplying essential pharmaceuticals, equipment, and medical consumables, while also covering operational needs like transport and helicopter support for critical interventions.
By strengthening these frontline teams, we ensure wildlife receives the care it needs, when it matters most.
